Student Welcome to the ASB Annual Meeting

Tuesday August 8th, 2017  5-5:30pm

Location:  North Dining Room

Description:  Welcome to all students attending ASB! Come for a brief presentation by the Student Rep outlining tips for having a successful conference, highlighting student events and activities.  Meet and greet peers before the Opening Reception to establish some friendly faces you can say hello to during the conference.

Student After-Reception Party

Tuesday August 8th, 2017  8-10pm

Location:  The Connection at the University Memorial Center

Description:  Still up for some fun after the Opening Reception?  Stay up and head downstairs to continue socializing with new and old friends.  Check out CU’s best student hangout and enjoy bowling, billiards, and other games!  Cash bar will be available.

Student Networking Lunch

Description: Grab your lunch in the C4C and join us for a student networking event.  This event will provide an opportunity to meet students from other labs with similar career and research interests.  More details coming soon!

Student Night Out

Wednesday August 9th, 2017  8-10pm

Location: Fate Brewery

Description: Enjoy a casual gathering for students to relax, network and mingle over drinks and desserts at one of Boulder’s favorite local breweries.  Bring your lab mates or come alone! There will be many students wanting to take a break from the conference for a night of fun.  There will be shuttles running throughout the event to transport students from the CU campus to Fate and back. A spread of desserts will be provided at the brewery as well as a cash bar.  Sign up during registration for entry and drink tickets!

Student Career Round Table

Thursday August 10th, 2017  6:30 – 7:30pm

Location:  TBD

Description:  If you want to learn more about where a career in biomechanics can lead, come to this event! Speak with numerous professionals in the field of biomechanics ranging from professors, engineers in industry, physical therapists, consultants, etc.  This is an excellent opportunity for students at all stages of their careers to engage with speakers about specific topics.  Small tables will allow for personal discussion that can allow all students to get the most of the experience.  Feel free to switch between topic tables to learn about more opportunities and career ideas.
